The Prayer of Faith
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:13-16 NIV

Ministries at First Baptist Church
Acts 2:42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
The small group is a place to bring biblical teaching in a more interactive way. Small group participants grow close through sharing, caring, supporting, and praying for one another, enjoying fellowship while studying God’s Word, and learning to apply it to their lives.

Meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

The youth group endeavors to equip and encourage our youth as they live out their Christian faith.

Young people ages 11-17 are invited to attend youth group meetings with Miss Esther every Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m.

Our women’s ministry exists to glorify God by promoting spiritual growth through Bible study and fostering Christ-like loving encouragement through fellowship activities and events for the women in our church and community.

Music Director Stephen Higgins guides our hard working choir in the morning anthems and choral prayer responses. He also fires up our 124 year old Brennan & Gleason tracker pipe organ for memorable hymns all during the year.
